Richard “Dick” Gallagher, a founder of Kids Escaping Drugs, is a pillar of the Western New York community. He helped found the organization in 1987 in response to the need to provide a treatment facility for chemically dependent adolescents. Dick worked for decades and continues to advocate for adolescent substance abuse treatment. Dick’s tireless advocacy efforts stem from personal tragedy, which propels him to remain active on the Renaissance Addiction Services Board of Directors and throughout the community. Dick is a member of the Kensington Lions Club and is very active in local High School sports including football. He regularly contributes to WGRZ Channel 2 News recapping and forecasting the high school football season. Without Dick Gallagher, the Renaissance Campus would not be what it is today.
