Jerry Puma

Jerome (Jerry) Puma is a native Buffalo and resident of Snyder NY.  He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Services from SUNY at Buffalo. He began his career in the field of addictions in 1982 and held clinical and administrative positions at the City of Buffalo Division of Substance Abuse Services, Sheehan Memorial Hospital, Mid-Erie Counseling and Treatment Services (now Endeavor Health) and the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.  Jerry was also on the faculty of Erie Community College (now SUNY Erie) for thirty years, teaching substance use disorder counselors-in-training. He retired in 2018 from the NYS OASAS Buffalo Field Office, where he was responsible for overseeing all OASAS certified programs in Erie County.  He also retired from teaching in 2018.  Jerry was awarded the CASAC Emeritus certification by NYS shortly after retiring.  Jerry currently operates the Larkin Gallery in Larkinville and continues to be active in his lifelong avocation of architectural and historic preservation. He is on the Board of Directors of the Graycliff Conservancy in Derby and is the immediate past director of the WNY Cadillac & LaSalle Club.
