How/why did you get started at KED?
I started at KED as a marketing intern in 2022. They graciously took me in, and the experience surpassed all my expectations. I didn't want to leave them, so I am now the SFC/KED Marketing & Outreach Coordinator! I started in college as a social work major, realized it was not for me, and switched my major to business, specializing in marketing and minoring in psychology. I still wanted to help others somehow and became interested in the non-profit sector. I am very grateful to be at KED and for its impact on the community I grew up in.
What has been the most impactful experience for you during your time at KED?
Being someone who works behind the scenes in the organization, it was very special to be a part of the Rise for Recovery walk. You can tell how meaningful this event is to those who have lost a loved one to substance use. It also gives hope to those in recovery and shows us why KED's mission is so important.
What are you most proud of KED accomplishing this past year?
I am proud that KED has expanded its reach in the community. We continue to partner with more schools and community organizations and have added a new Face2Face specialist Angie, who is an amazing addition to the team. I am excited to help our impact grow even more!
Alive or passed—and money no issue—which musician would you love to see perform live? Mac Miller! He is always on in my car.
What is something that is on your bucket list?
Travel to Europe!
What was your dream job as a child?
An actress. I did community theater from age 5-17!
