Empowering adolescents and families to live a life free from the disease of addiction through community outreach, education and early intervention.
Kids Escaping Drugs (KED) is witnessing an incredible shift in the landscape of alcohol and drug addiction among our youth in Western New York. As a result, we have expanded our Community Education (Face2Face) Programming for adolescents and their families.
We offer our no-cost Face2Face programming throughout Western New York. This Peer2Peer community education program teaches adolescents about the dangers and consequences of substance use as well as educates parents about the signs, symptoms, and trends of substance abuse. Each year the Face2Face program reaches over 50,000 adolescents and their families.
On the Renaissance Campus there is rehabilitation, stabilization (detox), and reintegration (half-way house). As the only facility in New York State to provide these levels of care to adolescents under the age of 18.
Unfortunately, the stigma associated with addiction deters people from getting help. Only 1 in 10 individuals suffering from substance abuse receive treatment.
Our campus works tirelessly to meet the treatment needs of our chemically dependent youth, our scope and focus have increased to tackle the devastating consequences of drug abuse through community outreach and education.
For 30 years, Kids Escaping Drugs has led the fight to end the disease of addiction among our adolescents and young adults. We are committed to continuing this fight as long as addiction impacts our community.
